Bodnant Craft Centre, Tal y Cafn, Conwy, recently held an art competition for local children from across Conwy Borough.

 

The theme was ‘Halloween’ and over 150 entries were received. 10 finalists were eventually chosen, and people were asked to vote for their favourite design.     

 

Over 800 votes were counted, and the winning design was created by 7 year old Ava Weston.

 

Ava received her prize of a large box of art materials from Angela Vaughn-Thomas, Manager at Bodnant Garden Centre.

 

Angela explains, “We were overwhelmed by the quality of all the entries, but Ava’s design was clearly the favourite and eventually received over 250 votes”.

 

Bodnant will be running more art competitions this year, as part of a programme of events planned over the coming months at the centre.
